AI usage limits

Know on Monday what runs out on Tuesday.

Headspare reads the limits of your Claude, Codex, Antigravity, xAI and GitHub Copilot accounts. It marks where an even pace would be and says whether each limit lasts until it resets.

Coming soon to Mac, iPhone and Android.

Runs out, Tue 3:40 PM, in 1 day 6 hours29 points behind even pace

The Mac menu bar panel beside Headspare on iPhone. The iPhone bar reads Headspare, with Share, View and Settings. Claude 2 credits are used up, and the Claude 2 and Claude 1 7-day limits run out.

Every account has its own limits, in its own place.

A Claude account has a 5-hour limit and a 7-day limit. A second account has two more. Add Codex, Antigravity, xAI and GitHub Copilot, and there are more than you can check by hand.

A percentage alone does not say whether a limit lasts. 58% left on Monday is not 58% left on Saturday.

So you find out a limit is empty mid-task, when the work stops.

Which of these is empty by Tuesday?

One list, ranked by what runs out first.

Each limit gets a pace verdict.

A caret marks even pace.

A limit resets on a schedule. Spend it evenly and a known share is left at any moment. The hollow caret marks that share. The solid caret and the blue ticks show what you have left.

The gap between the two gets a verdict in words. On pace is green, Tight is amber with under 10% to spare, and Runs out is red when a limit empties before it resets.

The worst limit is the top row.

Every account sits in one list. Each row shows the time its limit runs out.

Tap a limit to see the pace.

The chart plots the share you have left against the even-pace line and marks when it reaches zero. A shortfall shows as points behind even pace.

The same verdict where you already look.

The same list appears in the Mac menu bar and widgets, in iPhone Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and in Apple Watch complications. Android will have a home screen widget. The Watch app adds the time a limit runs out.

Share cards turn your week into an image, with account names hidden by default.

How your limits reach your devices.

Mac, iPhone and Apple Watch use your iCloud. Android will use a relay that is not deployed yet.

  1. 1

Headspare for Mac or iPhone signs in

You sign in to your accounts in Settings, Accounts, on the Mac or the iPhone. The Apple Watch never signs in. If you already run VibeProxy, the Mac can read its accounts too.

  2. 2

    It reads every 30 minutes

Each account is also read at launch, and at once when you pull to refresh on iPhone.

  3. 3

    Your private iCloud

Each device that signs in keeps its own readings in your iCloud database, one record per device.

  4. 4

iPhone and Apple Watch show the list

They read those records. No Headspare server is in these steps.

Android

Android will not sign in or read iCloud. It will get sealed readings from the Mac through a relay on Cloudflare that is not deployed yet. The relay will never hold the key.

What happens to your data.

Your sign‑ins stay on the device you signed in on.
Sign‑in tokens stay in that device's keychain, not synced, and go only to the provider they belong to. They never reach a Headspare server. Apple Watch never holds them, and Android will not sign in. VibeProxy is optional. If you already run it, the Mac can read its accounts instead of, or as well as, direct sign‑ins.
Account names are hidden by default.
Accounts read as Claude 1 and Claude 2, and share cards hide names too, so a glance at your screen gives nothing away. Claude 1 · 7-day limit74%
Apple devices use your iCloud. Android will use a relay.
Each device you sign in on saves its own readings to your private iCloud, one record per device. iPhone and Apple Watch read them from there. Sign‑in tokens are not in those records, and there is no Headspare account to create.

Android will not read iCloud. The Mac will send it sealed readings through a relay on Cloudflare. That relay is not deployed, so nothing is sent yet. It will not hold the key, so it cannot read your limits.
